1. Program Description
Pelican Succession Law ("Pelican," "we," "our," or "us") offers a text-messaging (SMS/MMS) program so we can communicate with you about your Louisiana succession or probate matter. By opting in, you may receive text messages for: responses to inquiries you send us; appointment and consultation reminders; status updates on your matter; requests for documents or information we need to advance your matter; and service and account notifications. This is a conversational and transactional messaging program tied to your relationship with the firm — not a promotional mass-marketing list.
2. How You Opt In (Consent)
You provide consent to receive text messages from Pelican Succession Law by: checking the consent box and submitting our website contact/intake form at /contact/; sending a text message to our firm number first; or providing your mobile number and agreeing to text communication verbally or in writing during your consultation or engagement. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of receiving legal services.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on the status and activity of your matter.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Pelican does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates may apply.
5. How to Opt Out — Reply STOP
You can cancel at any time by texting STOP to the number you receive messages from. After you send STOP we will send one final confirmation message and then stop. You may also opt out by calling (504) 389-6100 or emailing info@pelicanfirm.com.

7. Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy
Your mobile information is handled per our Privacy Policy (/privacy/). No mobile information (including your phone number and SMS opt-in and consent) will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
9. Changes
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time; material changes update the "Last updated" date above.
